Orientation Day Programme

 

Indraprastha WORLD SCHOOL organized the Orientation Programme for the parents of the new entrants on March 20, 2024Dr. Roma Kumar, a Clinical Psychologist & Senior Consultant at the Institute of Child Health at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi was the chief guest for the evening. The evening was also graced by the gracious presence of the members of the management.

Parents were warmly welcomed into the Indraprastha fraternity and hoped for a long and rich partnership. After the formal welcome the show progressed with the motivational song and the invocation dance. Preschool, Pre- Primary and class I, children presented the Annual school report of the year highlighting their achievements in diverse fields.

Dr.  Rajesh Hasssija guided the parents with his insight into child psychology. He rendered some valuable and often forgotten tips on the ever-evolving parent- child relationship. The school alumni, Dr. Ritu Aggarwal and the commercial pilot, Mr. Gautam Handa expressed their gratitude towards their alma mater for giving them strong roots to withstand the cutting-edge competition of the global world and attain excellence in their fields of interest. The Chief guest for the evening, Dr. Roma Kumar addressed the audience. She endeared herself to the parents with her experience and fruitful interaction. Her expertise motivated the parents to revise their ways of nurturing the young minds entrusted to our care during their formative years. She answered all the queries of the parents in the open dialogue session. It was a warm, cordial evening brimming with bonhomie and a sense of belonging to the Indraprastha family.

 

    

    

    

    

 

The Graduation Day Ceremony

Indraprastha WORLD SCHOOL organized the Graduation Day Ceremony of the students of Pre-Primary on March 16, 2024 to felicitate the young scholars. The event was presided by the school Managing Director, Dr. Rajesh Hassija and the school Principal, Ms. Ruchira Bhatnagar. 
 
The celebrations commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony. The young learners shared their wonderful journey of kindergarten. The highlight of the event was the mesmerizing presentation, based on the Pancha Koshas, or five sheaths in Hindu philosophy which include Annamaya Kosha (physical), Pranamaya Kosha (vital), Manomaya Kosha (mental), Vijnanamaya Kosha (intellectual), and Anandamaya Kosha (blissful). The presentation was a marvellous blend of music, dance and drama. 
 
The Managing Director addressed the august gathering and lauded the efforts of the parents, students and faculty members for their commendable efforts.  The event concluded with the vote of thanks extended by the Headmistress Montessori Wing, Ms. Ravinder Anand. Little Munchkins Rock at Story Telling Competition

 
The budding orators showcased their talent and won a glittering Rolling Trophy in the Twentieth Annual S. Mahan Singh Memorial Inter School Story Telling Competition at Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Junior Public School. 
The talented team comprised: Inaaya Sakhuja(Pre Primary Rose), Jaisvi Vansil(Pre Primary Rose), Iksirat Kaur(I A3), Guneet Singh Malik(IA2).
 
    
    

 

Diwali greetings from the little muchkins of IPWS.

The festival of Diwali symbolizes the removal of darkness and ignorance from our minds and filling them with goodness.

 

On this auspicious occasion, our little munchkins from the Montessori department have made an endeavour to spread the festive cheer from the comfort of their homes. With their exotic dance performance, poem recitation, and wonderful thoughts on how to celebrate a green Diwali, they aim to touch our hearts. Their rhythmic poems express the significance of Deepawali, highlighting how it brings happiness and positivity into our lives. Let's take inspiration from these youngsters and make this Diwali special by spreading positivity, compassion, and happiness.

 

  

     

 

 
Grandparents’ Day Celebration at Indraprastha World School
No joy on Earth brings greater pleasure than a grandchild to hold and treasure.
 
Indraprastha World School honoured the invaluable  contributions of the grandparents  with a special  celebration on Friday, October 6, 2023. Director Dr. Rajesh Hassija, and  Principal  Ms. Ruchira Bhatnagar warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, Educator and Storyteller Ms. Seema Wahi Mukherjee.
The event began with prayers sung by the school choir and an invocation to Lord Shiva. The students expressed their love for grandparents in the heart touching Mushaira Mash up. The ballet “पीढ़ियों का संगम - The Journey of Love and Legacy,” underscored the deep bond shared between grandparents and grandchildren. The audience was captivated by the students' spirited
performances in Rap and Mushaira, which was marked by their confidence, vibrant attire, and dazzling smiles. 
Interactive games were held for the spirited grandfathers and gracious grandmothers, creating moments of joy and competition. The senior guests took the opportunity to share insights, emphasizing their role as mentors, carriers of family traditions, and purveyors of values and heritage. They stressed that children inherit not just traditions but also the responsibilities and roles left by their elders. Celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi

Little munchkins of Indraprastha World School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi to seek the blessings of the Lord Ganesha and make our young saplings stay connected with the roots of Indian culture and heritage. The young students of Pre-School Rose, adorned in traditional attire, passionately recited Lord Ganesha's revered Shloka and made everyone feel the festive vibes. Our little ones decked up in colourful attires brought to life the tale of Lord Ganesha and his brother Kartikay, emphasizing the importance of the family bond. All the little ones welcomed a beautifully crafted Lord Ganesha idol, symbolizing prosperity and wisdom. The children and staff of the school orchestrated a vibrant event, featuring choir performances, dance routines, and a short role-play. The celebration culminated with the enchanting Ganesh Aarti.

 

    

    

    

 

 

Indraprastha Celebrates 74th Republic Day

 

On January 26, 1950, India enacted its Constitution, and that day was commemorated as Republic Day.
The students of class I B1 presented a special assembly in honour of Republic Day. The celebration began with a prayer to the Almighty. Followed by news delivery and thoughts for the day.  Children through impeccable delivery  familiarized their peers about the Republic Day celebration.
To instill a sense of patriotism, few children dressed as the jawans of the Indian army paraded around the assembly. The patriotic song-Swarg se Sundar desh,”sung by the choir group, inspired everyone with a sense of patriotism and a sense of pride for the country. Soulful dance performances left everyone awestruck. It was undoubtedly a happy moment brimming with energy and fervour for our country!

Balloon Popping Relay Race

 

As a part of Fun Learning Program of physical activities, Indraprastha WORLD SCHOOL in association with Junior Sports India organized ‘Balloon Popping Relay Race’ for the students of Class 1. The event was organized on Friday, September 9, 2022. Seventeen schools participated in this grand event.

There was an excitement in the air. The students stepped out to cheer their friends. Children enthusiastically participated as they had to cross the hurdles, crawl and balance before popping the balloons.

It was a fulfilled activity which was organized to develop eye hand coordination, sense of timing, motor skills and last but not the least, collaboration with peers. All the children were felicitated with trophies and medals.

 

 

     

 

 

    Grandparents’ Day Celebration

 

Grandparents have a significant and growing impact on the well-being of their grandchildren and now it was time for the tiny tots to thank them for their love, care and warmth.

 

Indraprastha WORLD SCHOOL celebrated Grandparents’ Day on Saturday, September 24, 2022.  The event was graced by the benign presence of the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Ms. Simi Srivastava, Founder Director, Kathashala.

The programme commenced in traditional manner with the lamp lighting ceremony and the little angels of IPWS mesmerized the spectators with their soul stirring song and inaugural dance performance. Little Cherubs made the day memorable by reciting lovely rhymes about grandparents, quiz and medley Retro left the audience rapt. The highlight of the event was a wonderful ballet - Around the Table that Grand Dad Built highlighting their bond of love and compassion for their grandparents. Smashing smiles, vibrant attires and stellar performances enthralled the audience.

A few interesting games organized for energetic grandparents added more sheen to the event. Some grandparents shared their feelings on this auspicious event and made the day memorable for everyone. The chief guest appreciated the efforts of the students and the management for organizing such a wonderful show. The function culminated with the vote of thanks by Montessori Headmistress Ms. Ravinder Anand. Overall, the event was a great success.

 

    

    

 

 

Montessori Wing Celebrates Annual Day 2022

 

Every year the Annual Day celebrations forms an integral part of every school’s academic calendar which provides a mega platform to our children to showcase their talent and skills to the fullest amidst an invigorating environment.

This year, Montessori wing of Indraprastha WORLD SCHOOL celebrated its  Virtual Annual Day on Tuesday , March 15, 2022. The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest Mr. Dilbagh Singh, a popular singer, songwriter and a musician.  The event was presided by the members of the management and the school Heads.

The grand celebration commenced with the formal welcome address extended by Vice Principal, Mr. A.A.Khan. All the parents, students and teachers brimming with enthusiasm witnessed the marvellous performance of the little cherubs through the virtual platform. The Virtual Annual Day was celebrated with equal fervour and the effervescent performances by the exuberant cherubs from Pre-School, Pre-Primary and classes I and II enthralled the audience.

The programme commenced with rendition of prayer by the school choir. It was followed by a scintillating dance dedicated to Lord Krishna. Young leaner’s brimming with confidence and panache presented the Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the school in the session 2021-2022.

The highlight of the mega event was an impressive musical ballet- ‘A Voyage to Planet –G.’ All kids beautifully decked up kids in vibrant attires, smashing smile, confidence and élan motivated the audience to be kind and generous in their attitude towards life. Their scintillating moves and gusto to give their best enthralled the audience. The function culminated with the vote of thanks by Montessori Headmistress Ms. Ravinder Anand. Overall, the event was a great success.

 

  

 

 

Little Munchkins of Indraprastha Celebrated Danceation

Indraprastha World School has always believed in giving their students an opportunity to exhibit their potential in the area of interest, skill or talent.The students of Class -1 showcased their dancing skills in the mega online event- DANCESATION , a folk dance competition where these tiny tots mesmerised their mentors, teachers, parents and friends through their elegant and aesthetic dance movements and gave the audience a glimpse of the wide cultural heritage of our country-India.This event marked the spirit of healthy competition which is key to the holistic development and empowerment through the means of extracurricular activities besides, their academic curriculum.
